Cornerstone Church Reopens Tomorrow
For In-Person Services
October 11, 2020 at 10 AM

This week in my meditation and prayer I felt a strong urge that it is time to open the church building again for in person worship. The Reopening Committee has met and has agreed for us to move ahead with some cautions. The Reopening Committee has agreed that we will use all the guidelines provide by the State of Maryland and CDC. There will be social distancing observed at all time. Designated seats will be spread out over the sanctuary. Everyone will be required to wear masks. Masks are available if you do not have one. Mask will be required upon entering the building and we request that it remain on through the entire service. Your temperature will be taken at the door. Your attendance will be recorded for any future contact tracking. You will enter through the main entrance and exit through side doors. At all times we will keep a six-foot distance. Hand sanitizer is also available throughout the church. We ask that there be one person in the restroom at a time, and if possible, please use the restroom at home before coming to church. We believe our church building is unique. Our sanctuary is open with high ceilings, and seating can be dispersed with appropriate social distancing. We just need your prayerful support and cooperation to follow protocol. We continually seek God's wisdom and understanding. If you feel ill, have a pre-existing condition or are apprehensive please remain at home. Please, no hugging or elbow bumping on parking lot.

Do not worry, we will still post our pre-recorded service on the website and YouTube for those of you who are enjoying worshipping on that platform. Special thanks to Deacon Tim Ray and Sis Grace Chung for their diligence and using their gifts and talents to bless the body of Christ. We will continue to provide our service on-line through our website page: www.thecornerstonechurch.net; or go to our YouTube channel: Cornerstone7277.

Recently, we started a worship service on Zoom each Sunday at 10:00 AM (EST). We will also continue to stream on Zoom: www.connectwithcornerstone.com. The in-person service will be integrated with our Zoom service. Special thanks to Sis. Theresa Robertson, Sis. Shenise Peacock, and Derrick Ware for coordinating worship on zoom. In the future we also plan to begin streaming on Facebook live on the Cornerstone Church Facebook page to reach the Facebook audience. We encourage you to share our services on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube channel and share. Our purpose is to enhance our connectivity and provide additional worship opportunities for each of you. Whatever medium you feel comfortable with is okay. Minister O'Quillian Smith, technology ministry provides counsel and research as we move ahead on various platforms. We also thank Minister Terrence Hines as our Web Master.

We continued to try to enhance the worship experience and provide an opportunity and platform for us to participate and experience God's presence during Covid-19. We appreciate all of you who have continued to participate with us in our Zoom meetings: Church Townhall Meetings, Tuesday Bible Study and Thursday Prayer. Power Up in 15 prayer line at 6am continues strong. Thank you again for your faithfulness; "To the faithful, God will show Himself faithful." The faithful God sees us, and I believe is pleased with our efforts to reach the world for Christ.
Also, we appreciate your continuing financial support to Cornerstone Church. You can give through our website via Pay Pal; via Givelify App. (Cornerstone Church of God); Cornerstone Mobile App (Cornerstone, Columbia); or Send checks to church: 7277 Eden Brook, Columbia, Md. 21046.

Please continue to pray for your Pastor and his wife, our church members, our country, our children, our teachers, and essential workers. Sheila and I will continue to pray for you. I want you to know that Lady Sheila and I love each of you. Thanks to all of you who sent cards and gifts celebrating her birthday. You can still honor her by sending a card to the church.

Remember real Christian's show love by staying 6 feet away, wearing a mask, and sanitizing!

Yours in Christ,
Pastor Maxwell H. Ware

Proverbs 3:21–26 (NKJV). "My son let them (His Law) not depart from your eyes – keep sound wisdom and discretion; So, they will be life to your soul and grace to your neck. Then you will walk safely in your way, and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet. Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; For the Lord will be your confidence, And He will keep your foot from being caught."
